Sidewalk Saturdays is proud to host a raffle supporting local causes. We'll be drawing 10 winners on Saturday, July 31 at our Nightly Artisan Market, which runs 7 - 11 p.m.

Janice's Women's Center is the June, 2021 ACORN Grant recipient, and will also be the recipient of Sidewalk Saturday's Raffle. Raffle tickets can be purchased ahead of time and winners will be announced on Saturday, July 31. Raffle will be drawn around 8 p.m. (winners must be present at time of drawing)

Supporting cause: Janice's Women's Center

Janice’s Women’s Center is in the fundraising phase with the goal of raising enough financial backing to create safe and comfortable temporary housing for unsheltered women in the greater Phoenix community out of shipping containers

As part of the programming available, Janice's Women's Shelter will offer:

• A 90-day rotational stay in our Transition housing and access to resources in our Day Center. As a transitional housing client, you will have access to all the resources you need to get back on your feet.
• Each transitional housing client that we host is supported with individualized care that specifically fits their needs. Counseling is available for all women who stay in a transitional home for any length of time.
• Our transitional housing model is meant to rotate women out of care as they secure employment and other forms of housing. Within the time of their stay, we help women of all need levels transition back into society with a solid foundation for success.

Their goal is to reduce the number of women who are homeless in Phoenix, find the right support services for each client to ensure that employment is secured, long term housing is found, and a successful path forward is open.
